practice law in Türkiye and focuses on matters involving Turkish law and international
business relations. Based in Virginia, he serves as a key point of contact for Turkish
businesses and U.S. companies with operations in Türkiye, helping clients understand
their legal needs and connecting them with the right attorneys within the firm.
Murat brings over two decades of legal experience in Türkiye, where he practiced in a
broad range of areas including commercial law, criminal law, human rights law,
cybersecurity and information technology law, trademark law, energy law, public
procurement, and international arbitration. He has also represented clients before the
European Court of Human Rights. His deep familiarity with the Turkish legal system
makes him an invaluable resource for clients navigating cross-border matters between
Türkiye and the United States.
Murat earned his Bachelor of Laws from Marmara University Faculty of Law and his
Master's Degree from Marmara University Institute of Social Sciences. He has completed
advanced training in international contracts and arbitration, energy law, public
procurement, and cybersecurity, and holds certifications from institutions including the
University of Pennsylvania and the Council of Europe. He is a member of the Istanbul Bar
Association, the Union of Turkish Bar Associations, the American Bar Association, and
the American Immigration Lawyers Association.
