INTERPOL NOTICE REMOVAL

INTERPOL, the International Criminal Police Organization, manages global police cooperation and maintains strict procedures for handling data about individuals. Under specific conditions, it is possible to request the deletion or correction of such data.

INTERPOL issues Red Notices, which signal that an individual is wanted for prosecution or to serve a sentence based on an arrest warrant issued by a member country. These notices can be challenged and potentially removed or amended if:

  • The information is inaccurate, outdated, or misleading;
  • The notice was issued for political, military, religious, or racial reasons;
  • The alleged offense does not qualify as an international crime;
  • The individual has been acquitted or the case has been dropped.

The review process typically takes between 4 to 12 months.

At Merit LLP, we specialize in providing legal services related to INTERPOL’s procedures, offering expert guidance and representation for clients facing Red Notices or concerns about personal data held by the organization. As a law firm with in-depth knowledge of international legal frameworks, we help our clients navigate the complexities of INTERPOL’s operations.
